Wearable that analyzes dog barks using TinyML.

A pet accessory startup wanting to 'translate' dog barks into emotional states for the owner's smartphone.
Creating an ultra-lightweight collar attachment that can record high-frequency acoustic data and transmit it to an app without draining the tiny coin cell battery.
We selected a Jieli AC632N series Bluetooth 5.1 SoC. It is paired with a piezoelectric microphone and a CR2032 battery. The entire PCBA weighs under 5 grams.
The AC632N uses a simple amplitude threshold interrupt to wake from sleep. It buffers 3 seconds of audio and transmits it via BLE to the companion iOS/Android app. The app itself handles the heavy lifting, sending the audio to an AI cloud API that classifies the bark (playful, anxious, aggressive).
Up to 3 months of battery life on a standard CR2032. Total device weight is 8g (including battery). IP67 waterproof design using ultrasonic welding.
Let's discuss how ChipTalk can deliver results for your next project.
