Product Concept & Architecture
The hardware architecture is centered around the u-blox M10 + STM32L4. This SoC was selected specifically to balance the intensive computational requirements against strict thermal and power limits.
Engineering Solution
Paired the ultra-low-power STM32L4 MCU with the u-blox M10 GNSS module. Implemented an aggressive deep-sleep duty cycle in FreeRTOS. The system only performs cold GPS starts when the onboard IMU detects sustained movement, extending battery life drastically.
Result
The product passed all regulatory compliance testing (CE/FCC/RoHS). Field deployments demonstrated a 40% improvement in power efficiency compared to legacy architectures, meeting the client's stringent SLA requirements.
