Compute module for indoor last-mile delivery navigation.

An urban last-mile delivery startup requiring a ruggedized, cellular-connected control unit for their autonomous rovers.
Creating a highly reliable Vehicle Control Unit (VCU) that bridges ROS (Robot Operating System) navigation commands with cellular teleoperation and fleet management APIs.
The Quectel SC20 (Smart LTE Module with built-in Android/Linux capability) acts as the central telematics gateway. It interfaces with an STM32 safety MCU via CAN bus.
We designed an automotive-grade PCB. The SC20 runs a customized Yocto Linux build. It handles the 4G LTE connection, streams multiple compressed camera feeds via WebRTC to human teleoperators, and relays high-level navigation goals. If the SC20 loses cellular connection or encounters an error, the STM32 safety MCU instantly assumes control and halts the rover safely.
Ultra-reliable fleet connectivity. Teleoperation latency kept under 250ms over standard 4G networks. Achieved ISO 26262 ASIL-B compliance for the safety braking system.
