Creating a highly durable, steam-proof, and grease-resistant display unit with reliable far-field voice recognition for hands-free cooking.
Product Concept & Architecture
The Allwinner A133 (Quad-core Cortex-A53) was chosen for its excellent cost-to-performance ratio for 1080p UI rendering. It connects to a 10.1-inch IPS display and a 4-mic linear array.
Engineering Solution
The hardware features a fully sealed glass front panel with optical bonding to prevent internal condensation from boiling pots. We integrated a third-party audio DSP algorithm directly into the Android ALSA audioHAL to achieve far-field voice wake-up, even with the sound of frying pans or running water in the background.
Result
Voice wake-up rate > 92% in 70dB kitchen noise environments. IP65 rated front panel. Smooth UI performance for video recipes.
