Voice-programmable smart diffuser that adjusts fragrance intensity based on room occupancy and time of day.

A premium home fragrance brand wanting to add smart, programmable scent scheduling to their luxury diffuser line.
Integrating reliable BLE control and voice-assistant compatibility into an existing ultrasonic diffuser platform without changing the industrial design or increasing the 12V power supply.
We integrated the Jieli AC6921 Bluetooth audio SoC into the diffuser's control PCB. It drives the existing piezoelectric transducer via MOSFET and reads a float-type water level sensor. The existing 12V→5V DC-DC converter powers the SoC without modification.
Custom firmware on the AC6921 implements a BLE GATT service with characteristics for mist intensity, timer, and LED color. The SoC's built-in audio ADC monitors ambient noise to automatically adjust fan speed (quieter at night). A companion app syncs schedules via BLE. For Alexa/Google Home integration, we added an ESP32-C3 as a Wi-Fi bridge communicating with the AC6921 over UART.
Seamless retrofit into existing industrial design. 28dB silent operation at night mode. 90-day schedule autonomy once programmed.
