Lamp that corrects sitting posture via edge AI.

A lighting company creating an ergonomic desk lamp that corrects children's sitting posture using AI.
Running real-time skeletal pose estimation locally to ensure privacy, packaged inside a sleek, heat-constrained lamp head.
The Rockchip RV1109 (1.2 TOPS NPU) is embedded in the lamp base, connected via a flexible FPC cable to a 2MP camera in the lamp head.
We deployed a custom Buildroot Linux system. Using the Rock-X SDK, we ran a specialized Pose Estimation model at 15fps. If the system detects the child's face is too close to the desk or their spine is curved for more than 30 seconds, the lamp uses a secondary PWM controller to gently dim and pulse the LEDs as a visual warning, avoiding annoying auditory alarms.
Highly accurate posture detection (even in low light thanks to the RV1109's ISP). 100% privacy as no video leaves the device. Power consumption of the AI subsystem is under 2W.
Let's discuss how ChipTalk can deliver results for your next project.
